Emmett Hunt's diary entry for December 3, 1890

Some rain and some wind from the North.  Steamed to Richmond Pt and got a raft of logs which we boot over in good time but got stuck in the draw and could do nothing with themes we anchored above and leave them tighter than Holy Moses.

Beautiful day.  Lay at wharf till P.M. then took hold of the Paulson boom again and worked with it till dark and left it stuck fast in the draw

Foggy A.M.  clear and fine P.M.  Nothing to do till p.m. then got some oil and steamed to Rosedale via Clay Works and waited till late to get Whitum's hay.  and anchored behind the island at 12:30.

Nice day.  Moved wood scow this morn then steamed to W. Pass and got scow of brick for Reynolds, after which we tied up and boarded the Chehalis ???????? took in the Williams he-he some.
