Good day also. Got our scow down to deep water & tied up. Towed the "Talisman" to the beach then tied floats to her from R.R. wharf and we go to our great satisfied.

Emmett Hunts Diary Entry May 27, 1891
Cloudy and pleasant. Got out at 6:15 this morn and towed all day on the cussed boom and now at 9 P.M. we are just at Alki Point. Got badly taken in on this job but will try to break even on the next one -- also try to remember it.

Nice and rainy. Steamed in with our brush in morn "took in" the President's reception in the rain and then to Whiteman's Cove and got 5 sec's of logs which we took to Alki Point & anchor.
